Rockhampton Property

7th┬áJune 2014-08-08 IT’S THE prime time for investors and first-home buyers to whip out their cheque books, with Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast firmly in the grip of a buyers’ market.

A local Real Estate principal said as house prices in the region have plateaued, it’s a good time for buyers.

Buyers have certainly taken heed of the advice in Koongal.

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland figures released exclusively to The Morning Bulletin yesterday, show the North Rockhampton suburb had a 25.4% price surge in the March 2014 quarter.

Although the surge was not quite as drastic; Berserker, The Range and Gracemere also had higher median sales.

According to the REIQ figures, the average house price in the region has not changed in the past year, but the figures show it has gone up by 5.3% compared to prices five years ago.
