Toowoomba Range State Funding

The state budget has received the thumbs up from Lockyer MP Ian Rickuss – following the announcement that the Toowoomba Range was to receive $321 millions over the next five years in state funding.

Yesterday, the treasurer – Tim Nicholls in his introductory speech – announced that he had signed a memorandum of understanding for expressions of interest to $1.6 billion to be released on the market today –along with a promise of $30.4 million dollars of funding, and $321 million over five years for the 2nd Range Crossing.

Lockyer MP Ian Rickuss says this is good news …

“It sounds like it’s all go ahead from here! The appropriate protocols are going to be put in place — and its virtually lets get the contract signed and get the appropriate tender holders in place and build the range crossing.”
