[Video] Job Boost to Benefit QLD property investors

When you invest in a rental property, you want to make sure you buy in an area with plenty of potential tenants about. And an expected employment rise for Queensland means the state is well-set for investors.

A boost in jobs generally means that an economy is on its way up, it also has other benefits. More people in an area means a bigger demand for accommodation, which puts property investors in a good position to find tenants.

Recent figures have shown that Queensland’s unemployment rate remained steady over October 2014. However, state Treasurer Tim Nicholls says he expects the economy to grow by 6 per cent in 2015, leading to more jobs.

In addition to this, red tape reforms pushed by the government could see even more job creation and cost cutting for local businesses. Mr Nicholls says the government is on track with the red tape cutting targets, which is great news.

With all of this activity in the pipeline, Queensland is a stand-out location for savvy property investors.
